Suppose now that parliamentary draftspersons have completed work on an 'Injuries in Sports Bill'.

You need to read through the Bill.  There are five sections, but they are not very long.

As you read, remember and think about the following questions:

  • What is the purpose of each section in the Bill?
  • Is it clear how the provisions in the Bill will operate in practice?
  • Do the provisions of the Bill give effect to the policy aims of the government?
  • Are there any obvious flaws in the draft Bill?
