4.3. Relating situations to divisions of law

 

 

If you know the different divisions of law, you can identify which division is relevant to a particular situation.  Consider the situations described in the left-hand column below.  By clicking in the letters in the centre column, match each situation with the most appropriate division of law listed in the right-hand column.

Situation
The directors of a company issue an invitation to investors to purchase shares in the company.

H agrees to buy from J the car J owns for a price of $10,000.

A drives on a public road while under the influence of alcohol.
B, in hospital recovering from an illness, gives C money and instructs her to pay B’s water bill.
The Federal government of Australia enters into a trade agreement with the government of Malaysia.
F applies to be registered as the new owner of a house.
R parks his car carelessly and scratches the paint on B’s car which is parked in the next bay.
