2.2.8. Co-ownership of land

Albert is considering various ways of raising the money necessary for paying for the land he needs. He wants to know if it would be possible for him and another person to both become the owners of the same land.  Consider the following statements and choose the one that is correct.

(a) It is possible for more than one person to be the registered owners of the same land. In such cases, the owners are known as co-owners.

(b) It is not possible for more than one person to be the registered owner of the same land. Only one person can be registered as the owner of a single piece of land.
