(a) A company has its own name, chosen for it by the person who registers it. The company can trade under its own name without registering a business name, or it can trade under a different name, which must be registered.
(b) A company has its own name, chosen for it by the person who registers it, and it is required to register and trade under that name. Because a company is an artificial person, it cannot trade under another name in the same way that a natural person can.
