(a)  A contract for the sale of goods is defined as an agreement whereby the buyer agrees to give something of value to the seller in exchange for possession of the thing being bought and sold.

(b)  )  The provisions of the sale of goods legislation in Australia apply to all contracts for the sale of goods but they do not extend to contracts for the supply of services.

(c)   The provisions of the sale of goods legislation in Australia are not designed to regulate sale transactions, but to fill gaps in the agreed terms of sale contracts.
