Question 13. Can a partnership employ people to work for the business?

 

 

 

Read the statements below and select the best one.

(a) Partners who cannot themselves do everything required to carry on their business can employ other persons to do the necessary work. Such persons are employees of the firm, not partners.

(b) A partnership cannot employ non-partners to do work for the firm. If partners cannot themselves do everything required to carry on their business, they must take on additional partners.
