Question 6. Can a sole trader employ people to work in the business for them?

 

 

 

Read the statements below and select the best one.

(a) A sole trader must run their business on their own. If they need to employ other persons to assist them, they will have to choose a different business structure.

(b) Although a sole trader must be the sole owner of the business and, as owner, they will have the right to control and manage the business, there is nothing to stop a sole trader from employing other persons to work for the business.
