Consolidating Acts combine a number of different Acts into one new Act. This is useful when the law has been changed over time by various amending Acts.
Sometimes consolidations are carried out on all statutory law in a particular jurisdiction. An example is the consolidation of Australian federal Acts in 1973.
In the present case, a consolidating Act is not appropriate.
