However It is not true to say that, in Australia, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth has the power to issue proclamations that have the force of law, known as ‘Commonwealth law’. Such powers are not given to the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Although many countries have similar law-making mechanisms to those found in Australia, some countries have different structures of government and this affects how law is made in those countries.
