2 (a). You said it is permissible for a dealer to call on consumers in their homes after 6 pm for the purposes of negotiating an unsolicited consumer agreement.
That's wrong. It is not permissible for a dealer to call on consumers in their homes after 6 pm for the purposes of negotiating an unsolicited consumer agreement. The times at which such calls can be made are carefully regulated to avoid calls at inappropriate times.
In particular, s 73 states that a dealer must not call on a consumer to negotiate an unsolicited consumer agreement on a Sunday or public holiday. Nor are they allowed to call before 9 am on other days; after 5 pm on a Saturday; or after 6 pm on any other day.
