The citation of Waugh v Waugh (1950) 50 SR (NSW) 210; 67 WN (NSW) 175 shows that this case is reported in the State Reports, New South Wales, and the Weekly Notes, New South Wales.
The WN (NSW) contains cases decided in the NSW system, including some cases from courts which are lower than the Supreme Court in the hierarchy. However, since this case is also reported in the SR (NSW), it must in fact be a decision of the New South Wales Supreme Court, and might be a decision of the New South Wales Court of Appeal.
A decision of the Court of Appeal would bind a court lower in the NSW hierarchy, but not the Court of Appeal itself. However, it would be highly persuasive.
