(a)  B is entitled to the reward because performing an act that has been specified by a person making an offer will be valid as acceptance whenever the person who has performed the act actually learns of the offer. 

(b)  B is entitled to the reward because performing an act that has been specified by a person making an offer will be valid as acceptance if the person performing the act learns of the offer within a reasonable time of performing the act, and in this case B has learned of the offer within a reasonable time.
