It is correct to say that the provisions of this Act began operating as law on a date fixed by proclamation except for Parts 12 and 13 because this is what is provided for in section 2 of the Act.

It is incorrect to say that the main purpose of this Act is to regulate marine parks.  The title of the Act shows that the purpose is much wider than just regulation of marine parks.

It is also incorrect to say that the provisions of this Act apply throughout Australia.  This is an Act of the Queensland parliament and so applies only in Queensland.
