(a) Contractual promises are legally binding. If he chooses to enforce the contract, Tyler can ask the court to order Sunny to carry out specific performance of her promises. As long as Tyler can prove the terms of the contract agreed to by Sunny, the courts will order specific performance by Sunny.
(b) The courts will not always order specific performance of the terms of a contract, particularly if the performance involves goodwill and cooperation between the parties, or performance over a long period of time. However, as an alternative, the courts will order an injunction to prevent a threatened breach of contract.
