(b) That's incorrect.

If one thing is attached or joined to another thing, ownership depends on whether they can reasonably be separated again. If they can be reasonably separated, then ownership of each thing is not affected. If they cannot be reasonably separated, then ownership of the smaller thing passes to the owner of the larger thing to which it was joined.

Removal is reasonably possible where it would not cause damage, even if it would take some time or effort to achieve.
