House of Review and House of Origin

In bicameral legislatures, with an upper and lower House, most Bills can be first introduced into either House. To avoid confusion, the phrase 'House of Origin' is used to describe the House into which a Bill is first introduced, regardless of whether it is the upper or lower House.

The phrase 'House of Review' is used to refer to the House to which the Bill is sent after proceeding through the House of Origin.
