(b) That's probably incorrect. This is another interpretation question. What does 'medical' treatment mean? Does the word 'medical' imply that a qualified doctor must necessarily give the treatment?

'Medical' is not defined in the Act, so it should be given its ordinary meaning. The dictionary defines medical treatment simply as healing with medicines and appliances. There is no mention of a qualified doctor being involved. So it would seem that the coach's treatment of Eric's injuries would fall within the meaning of 'medical treatment'.
