(b) That's right. The key facts here are that B is a commercial supplier of computers, and A is a consumer. It is also important that, at the time of the sale, A has disclosed to B the particular purpose for which he wants the computer and indicated that he was relying on the skill and judgment of B, which reliance appears reasonable. In these circumstances, s 55 of the ACL provides a guarantee that the goods supplied are reasonably fit for the disclosed purpose. It does not matter that the disclosed purpose is not a purpose for which the goods in question are normally used.
