There is a select body of ministers within the executive called the ‘cabinet’.  It is made up of the chief minister and selected senior ministers of government. The cabinet meets to decide the policies of the government at any particular point in time.  The cabinet discusses new legislation and approves it in draft form before it is introduced into the legislature.
