ALL the documents would be retrieved by the search expression 'justice and peace' although only one of them contains the phrase you actually want. 

In other words, the Boolean search expression turns out to be too wide! In this example, the basic search term 'justice of the peace' would have yielded more appropriate results.

Because of the limits of Boolean searching, more advanced techniques have been developed that allow even more precise search terms to be devised.

These techniques are explained in the next section of this module.
