'Ratification' is the act of a principal approving an unauthorised act carried out by their agent. By choosing to ratify an unauthorised act of the agent, the principal adopts it and becomes bound by it, just as if it had been authorised from the outset.
Ratification can only be carried out by a disclosed principal, not by an undisclosed one.
