3. (a) That's wrong. The agency of necessity of a deserted spouse cannot be revoked, even if the principal tries to do so. Any such attempt to avoid the liability is ineffective.

This means that informing third parties that B is not his agent for the purpose of acquiring necessities would not help A to avoid the liability to the store owner.
